Job summary

Talabat is hiring a senior software engineer in Abu Dhabi to own an end-to-end domain within a cross-functional team. You will design, implement, and release software in small batches, following XP practices and focusing on scalable, maintainable architectures.

You will mentor engineers, optimize team practices, and collaborate with product and data to solve real customer problems while embracing lean and agile values and continuous feedback.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience; XP practices (TDD, pair programming, simple design, continuous refactoring).
• Proficient in .NET, Golang, and C#.
• Experience with testing and automated end-to-end quality.
• Experience with distributed systems architecture (microservices, event-driven, RESTful services).
• Experience with relational and non-relational databases.
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Experience with trunk-based development and continuous delivery.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end domain area within a cross-functional team.
• Design, write and release software in small batches following engineering standards.
• Mentor engineers and optimize team practices for a self-organized unit.
• Understand scalability and complexity of services and improve SDLC.
• Collaborate across engineering, product, and data to discover and satisfy customer needs.
• Champion lean/agile values and continuous feedback.
