Job description

We’re looking for a sharp, commercially-minded Social Strategist to lead the global social direction for one of the world’s most ambitious destination brands. If your idea of strategy is endlessly staring at last month’s Instagram reach, this isn't for you. We need someone who connects social with wider culture, travel trends, PR, creator economies, and real business priorities to answer one question: “What should we do next?”

Who You Are
  • A Translator of Chaos: You can take mountain loads of audience data, market intelligence, and platform updates, and turn them into simple, bulletproof directions
  • Commercially Sharp & Culturally Tuned-In: You treat social as part of a broader ecosystem—spanning creator partnerships, paid media, culture, and business goals
  • Direct & Opinionated: You don't hide behind 100-slide decks or passive buzzwords. You form a clear point of view and give teams direction they can actually use
  • Globally Minded: You naturally flex between high-level global strategy and market-by-market nuance without treating every audience identically
  • Comfortably Ambitious: You thrive in ambiguity, handle moving targets with ease, and know how to ask the right questions before racing to solutions
  • A Friendly Challenger: You have the confidence to look senior stakeholders in the eye and tell them what to start, stop, test, or scale up
What You’ll Do
  • Own the Global Social Strategy: Build the overarching social blueprint and translate it into actionable, market-tailored playbooks
  • Turn Intelligence into Action: Interrogate audience data, visitation figures, and cultural trends to define who we reach, where we meet them, and what we say
  • Run the Strategy Through the EMOD Filter: Apply our Entertainment Principles (EMOD) to ensure our work cuts through the noise and actually earns attention
  • Connect the Ecosystem: Align always-on social, campaign moments, creator strategies, and community activity into one connected engine
  • Write Briefs People Can Execute: Translate complex strategic goals into sharp, inspiring briefs for creative, social, and local market teams
  • Direct the Investment: Confidently tell stakeholders which platforms, creators, and content models are worth funding—and which ones to pull the plug on
  • Keep Strategy Alive: Treat learnings and performance data as fuel to continually sharpen the plan, never letting it gather dust on a server
What You’ll Bring
  • 7 years in social, brand, digital, or integrated strategy (global or multi-market experience is essential)
  • Proven track record in turning research, social listening, and complex analytics into actionable recommendations
  • Experience integrating social with broader marketing functions—paid media, PR, creators, and brand campaigns
  • Master-level strategic writing: concise, compelling, and stripped of unnecessary jargon
  • Experience in destination marketing, travel, tourism, or similarly complex global consumer brands is a major plus
