Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Structural Engineering.
• AWS CWI or CSWIP 3.1 certification preferred.
• Strong leadership and site supervision experience on EPC/industrial projects.
• Ability to read structural drawings and enforce QC/QA requirements.

Job description

Are you an experienced Structural Supervisor with a strong background in oil & gas EPC construction projects? We are looking for a highly motivated professional to lead structural fabrication and erection activities while ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, and productivity.

YOUR ROLE

The Structural Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing structural fabrication, erection, alignment, welding, inspection, and installation activities for steel structures, pipe racks, modules, platforms, supports, and associated construction works. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with engineering drawings, project specifications, industry standards, quality requirements, and HSE regulations while delivering work safely and efficiently.

Structural Fabrication Supervision

• Supervise fabrication of structural steel components including beams, columns, platforms, ladders, and pipe supports.
• Ensure dimensional accuracy, proper fit-up, welding sequences, and tolerance control.
• Verify compliance with approved WPS, project specifications, and quality standards.
• Coordinate activities of welders, fitters, and fabrication teams.
• Supervise lifting, alignment, and erection of structural steel at site.
• Ensure safe rigging practices and compliance with approved lifting plans.
• Monitor bolting, torqueing, and tensioning activities.
• Coordinate interface activities with civil, mechanical, and piping disciplines.

Quality Assurance & Quality Control

• Conduct inspections of welds, alignment, fit-up, and structural installations.
• Coordinate with QA/QC teams for inspections, NDT requirements, NCR closures, and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with applicable structural and welding standards including AISC, AWS, ASME, and ISO requirements.

HSE Compliance

• Promote and enforce a strong safety culture across all activities.
• Conduct toolbox talks, JSA reviews, and hazard assessments.
• Ensure compliance with Permit-to-Work systems and working-at-height requirements.
• Immediately address and report unsafe acts, conditions, and near misses.

Planning & Coordination

• Coordinate daily activities with construction management, planners, engineers, and subcontractors.
• Ensure manpower, equipment, materials, and consumables are available to support the construction schedule.
• Prioritize work fronts and resolve field execution challenges efficiently.

Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain daily progress reports, inspection records, weld logs, and productivity reports.
• Track material consumption and manpower utilization.
• Provide regular progress updates to project management.

Leadership

• Lead and supervise welders, fitters, riggers, helpers, and subcontractor personnel.
• Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and performance oversight.
• Drive workforce discipline, productivity, and adherence to project standards.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Experience

• Minimum 10-12 years of experience in structural construction works.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a supervisory role within oil & gas, petrochemical, or industrial projects.
• Strong hands-on experience in steel structures and concrete construction.
• Experience in onshore and offshore oil & gas projects. (preferred)

Education and Certifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Mechanical, Structural Engineering, or related discipline.
• AWS CWI or CSWIP 3.1 certification (preferred)

Skills and Competencies

• Excellent understanding of structural construction methods and sequencing.
• Ability to read, interpret, and execute structural drawings.
• Strong leadership, coordination, and communication skills.
