Key Responsibilities
- Direct fabrication construction activities and ensure work is completed according to project specifications, schedules, quality standards, and company procedures.
- Coordinate with project management, engineering, planning, procurement, quality, and site execution teams to align construction phases and resources.
- Enforce HSE requirements across all site activities and promote a zero-incident work environment through visible leadership and disciplined compliance.
- Monitor construction quality during fabrication activities, ensuring work meets approved drawings, industry codes, project standards, and inspection requirements.
- Optimize workforce scheduling, equipment allocation, material availability, and subcontractor coordination to support project productivity targets.
- Supervise subcontractors and vendors, reviewing performance against contractual obligations, safety expectations, and construction deliverables.
- Maintain accurate construction records, site reports, workforce plans, productivity updates, and progress documentation for project stakeholders.
- Lead short-term planning discussions, including 4-week lookahead schedules, manpower loading, activity sequencing, and productivity improvement actions.
- Interface with all project disciplines to ensure shared planning, clear execution targets, and smooth coordination between fabrication and supporting functions.
- Mentor construction staff, encourage teamwork, and support continuous improvement across site supervision and workforce execution.
- Own the implementation, enforcement, and verification of McDermott policies, procedures, and project governance requirements.
- Ensure employees understand their responsibilities, authority levels, safety obligations, and procedural requirements.
- Track mandatory training completion for self and assigned teams to support safe and compliant site operations.
Ideal Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
- Advanced construction, fabrication, HSE, or project execution certifications are preferred.
- Extensive experience in the EPCI industry, with strong leadership exposure on fabrication construction projects.
- Deep understanding of fabrication construction techniques, workforce governance, productivity management, and construction execution standards.
- Strong knowledge of HSE systems, occupational health and safety practices, quality control, and site compliance requirements.
- Proven ability to manage diverse construction teams, subcontractors, vendors, and multi-discipline site interfaces.
- Excellent communication skills with the confidence to coordinate with clients, project stakeholders, engineering teams, and site personnel.
- Strong problem-solving ability in fast-moving construction environments involving technical, operational, and workforce challenges.
- Able to work across different geographic locations, extended hours, shift patterns, and demanding project schedules when required.
