Job summary

ALEC Holdings is seeking a proactive Site Engineer in Dubai to coordinate site activities within a defined section, manage subcontractors, and ensure safe, compliant, high-quality delivery aligned with project specs and QA/QC standards.

You will review drawings, coordinate with project teams, conduct site inspections, report progress, and support QA/QC to address comments while maintaining safety on a multi-floor fit-out project in the UAE.

Qualifications

• First Aider certification.
• Strong understanding of technical drawings and specifications.
• Ability to coordinate with internal teams and subcontractors.
• Awareness of safety practices and compliance standards.
• Experience with QA/QC documentation and project handover processes.

Responsibilities

• Review drawings and method statements for clarity and feasibility.
• Coordinate activities with subcontractors, consultants and project teams.
• Conduct regular site inspections and raise inspection requests to QA/QC.
• Track and report progress to leadership.
• Liaise with QA/QC to address inspection comments and closeout actions.
• Ensure works align with design specs and approved docs.
• Support safety procedures and monitor compliance on site.
• Assist in compiling red-line drawings and as-built documentation.
• Participate in short-term lookahead planning and interface coordination.
• Apply discipline-specific knowledge to deliver high-quality outcomes.
• Undertake other duties as required by management.

About Your Team

Our Site Engineering team is dedicated to delivering safe, high-quality, and program-compliant fit-out and finishing works across complex, multi-floor construction projects. Working closely with project leadership, consultants, subcontractors, and Direct Works teams, we ensure seamless coordination from structural handover through to final finishes and client handover. Through strong technical knowledge, proactive coordination, and a safety-first mindset, our team drives efficient execution, resolves on-site challenges, and ensures every area is delivered in line with design intent, QA/QC standards, and project milestones.

Your Role

As an Site Engineer, you will

• Review drawings and method statements to ensure clarity and feasibility of planned works.
• Coordinate activities with subcontractors, consultants, and project teams.
• Conduct regular site inspections and raise work inspection requests to QA/QC.
• Track and report progress on assigned activities to the leadership.
• Liaise with QA/QC to address inspection comments, non-conformances, and closeout actions.
• Ensure works are executed in line with design specifications and approved documentation.
• Support implementation of safety procedures and monitor compliance within work areas.
• Assist in compiling red-line drawings and as-built documentation.
• Participate in short-term lookahead planning and interface coordination.
• Apply technical expertise and discipline-specific knowledge to deliver high-quality outcomes within your area of specialisation.
• Undertake any other reasonable duties and/or responsibilities as required by management, to meet the needs of the business.

What We’re Looking For

• First Aider certification

• Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Exposure to BIM tools & document control platforms
• Understanding of testing, commissioning, & handover procedures
• Experience with testing, commissioning, & project closeout phases.
