Job summary

Al Tayer Group in Abu Dhabi seeks a Civil Engineering professional to develop and implement on-site project programs for interior contracting. You will organize drawings, materials, and manpower, supervise site activities, and ensure quality standards are met.

Experience of 2-3 years in interior contracting or construction is required, with strong coordination and onsite leadership to drive projects to successful completion.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in civil engineering is required.
• 2-3 years experience in interior contracting / construction.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the project program on site in a cost effective manner, aligned with approved design and time frame.
• Obtain project drawings, assess material and manpower needs, and liaise with Procurement.
• Monitor progress against the project plan and report discrepancies for corrective actions.
• Organize and manage the workforce, supervise site activities, and update the Manager on progress.
• Collaborate with Site Management to ensure adherence to the project program and address discrepancies.
• Conduct quality checks and complete QC checklists with the QC Inspector to meet specifications.
• Coordinate site demobilization and prepare post-project reports.
• Execute snag lists from consultants, oversee subcontractors, and ensure timely completion and compliance.
• Guide and motivate subordinates to enhance performance and deliver quality work.

• To develop and implement the project program on site in an organized and cost effective manner in accordance with the approved design, quality standards and within the agreed time frame

Responsibilities

Functional Roles and Responsibilities

• Obtain the drawings of the project, assess the material and manpower requirement accurately and hand over the material requirement to the Purchase Department to enable procurement, after approval
• Monitor project progress against the project plan and report discrepancies /delays for taking corrective action
• Organize and manage the workforce, supervise the site, keep the Manager updated on the progress of the project and attend to all technical and engineering problems, additional manpower requirements, drawing changes, etc. in an effective and timely manner
• Regularly liaise with Site Management on adherence to project program and highlight discrepancies if any
• Conduct quality checks and complete quality check lists, with the QC Inspector, on works carried out to ensure that the products meet specifications
• Coordinate site demobilization on project completion and prepare applicable reports
• Execute issued snag lists from consultants, oversee sub-contractors for various works, and monitor all jobs for timely completion and compliance

People Management Roles and Responsibilities

• Guide and motivate subordinates to enhance performance and produce quality work, and ensure that they are continuously developed for higher level roles
