Job summary

Al Tayer Group is seeking a Site Project/Construction Engineer for on-site execution of interior contracting projects in the UAE. You will develop and implement the project program, manage drawings and procurement handovers, and monitor progress to meet design and schedule.

The role requires a Civil Engineering qualification and 2–3 years of interior/construction experience, with strong coordination and quality oversight on site.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering.
• 2–3 years of experience in interior contracting or construction.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the on-site project program within approved design and schedule.
• Gather project drawings, assess material/manpower, and hand over to Purchase.
• Track progress against plan and report any delays for action.
• Manage workforce, supervise site, and resolve technical issues with timely updates.
• Coordinate with Site Management to ensure program adherence and flag discrepancies.
• Perform quality checks with QC Inspector to meet specifications.
• Coordinate demobilization and prepare project completion reports.
• Oversee subcontractors and ensure timely completion and compliance.

Responsibilities

• To develop and implement the project program on site in an organized and cost effective manner in accordance with the approved design, quality standards and within the agreed time frame
• Obtain the drawings of the project, assess the material and manpower requirement accurately and hand over the material requirement to the Purchase Department to enable procurement, after approval
• Monitor project progress against the project plan and report discrepancies /delays for taking corrective action
• Organize and manage the workforce, supervise the site, keep the Manager updated on the progress of the project and attend to all technical and engineering problems, additional manpower requirements, drawing changes, etc. in an effective and timely manner
• Regularly liaise with Site Management on adherence to project program and highlight discrepancies if any
• Conduct quality checks and complete quality check lists, with the QC Inspector, on works carried out to ensure that the products meet specifications
• Coordinate site demobilization on project completion and prepare applicable reports
• Execute issued snag lists from consultants, oversee sub-contractors for various works, and monitor all jobs for timely completion and compliance

People Management Roles and Responsibilities

• Guide and motivate subordinates to enhance performance and produce quality work, and ensure that they are continuously developed for higher level roles
