Job summary

Tanqeeb is seeking a Civil Engineering professional with 4–5 years of landscaping experience to oversee multiple projects in Dubai. You will prepare plans, coordinate with main contractors and consultants, manage procurement, and monitor progress to ensure construction programmes are met.

You will handle RFIs, drawings, invoices, quality checks, HSE on site, variations, final accounts, and maintain as-built records while keeping costs within budget. A G+1 certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• B.E./BTech in Civil Engineering is required.
• G+1 Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Fulfill project goals on assigned sites and ensure progress per construction programme.
• Prepare and submit reports on planning, execution plans, issues, and strategy before each project.
• Develop and monitor progress to ensure successful project completion.
• Prepare and submit material proposals/drawings; raise RFIs and follow up.
• Prepare and update material procurement schedules; ensure timely delivery to site.
• Ensure adequacy of materials on site and avoid workforce idling.
• Maintain records of verbal instructions and confirm changes.
• Take-off quantities and propose efficiency improvements to reduce cost.
• Coordinate with Main Contractor, Client, and Consultant; liaise with Draftsman for drawings.
• Raise invoices for work and materials; check quality and compliance.
• Monitor latest drawings and as-built records; manage HSE on site.
• Manage contract variations, claims, and approvals; final accounts with QS/PM.
• Ensure prompt collection of payment certificates and payments.
• Prepare O&M manuals and obtain TOC and other certifications.
• Monitor project costs to keep within budget; oversee subcontractors and temporary labour.
• Attend progress meetings with consultants and clients.

• Responsible for fulfilling Company’s operational goals on assigned projects.

• Before commencement of each new project, you will ensure to prepare and submit a report on

• Planning

• Execution plan

• Critical issues/resolutions

• General Strategy

• Develop and monitor regularly the progress and successful completion of projects as per the Construction Programme.

• Preparation, submission and obtaining approval on material proposals/drawings etc. / Raise RFI, IR’s and follow ups.

• Preparation of material procurement schedule and update

• Prepare correct MRF, follow up with Purchase/ stores for delivery to site.

• Ensure adequacy of materials at site and no idling of workforce.

• Maintain records of confirmation of verbal instruction.

• Take off quantities.

• Introduce methods to improve efficiency on site and reduce cost.

• To coordinate with Main Contractor/ Client/ Consultant.

• Coordinate with Draftsman for preparation of working drawings & submission , obtaining approval from Consultant.

• To raise invoices for the work done & details of materials at site.

• To check quality of work & ensure good engineering practices are followed.

• Monitoring maintenance of latest drawings with list at site.

• Monitoring maintenance of as built records.

• Monitoring & implementing all HSE issues at site/encourage tool talks with site staff.

• Establishing variations to contract, submission of claims and follow-up of approval.

• Prepare final accounts in liaison with QS/PM

• Follow-up for prompt receipt of all payment certificates and payments.

• Prepare O & M Manual/obtain timely TOC & other.

• Continuously monitor and ensure project costs are within the budget.

• Responsible for effective oversight of multiple subcontractors and temporary leased installation labour.

• May evaluate the performance of more junior projects personnel to provide accurate feedback on the level of performance within the department

• Attending progress meetings with consultants and clients.
