Job summary

Gulf Contracting & Landscaping (GCL) in Dubai, UAE, seeks an experienced Civil Site Engineer to oversee daily site activities, ensure works follow approved drawings, specifications and quality standards, and coordinate with contractors, consultants, and project management to keep progress safe, on schedule and within budget.

The ideal candidate has a Civil Engineering degree and 3–6 years' site experience on buildings or infra projects, with strong HSE knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is required.
• 3–6 years of civil site engineering experience on buildings or infra projects.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and MS Office; familiarity with site management software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor daily site activities to ensure compliance with drawings and specifications.
• Set out works, verify levels, alignments, and dimensions on site.
• Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers for smooth execution.
• Inspect materials and workmanship to meet quality standards.
• Maintain site records, daily reports, and progress documentation.
• Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations on site.
• Report deviations, delays, or technical issues to the Project Engineer/Manager.
• Assist in preparing as-built drawings and close-out documentation.
• Attend site meetings and coordinate with design consultants on technical queries.

We are seeking an experienced Civil Site Engineer to oversee day-to-day site activities and ensure that construction works are executed in line with approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards. The successful candidate will be the primary technical point of contact on site, coordinating with contractors, consultants, and project management teams to keep works progressing safely, on schedule, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor daily site construction activities to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and approved method statements
• Set out works and verify levels, alignments, and dimensions on site
• Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth execution of works
• Inspect materials and workmanship to ensure compliance with project quality standards
• Maintain accurate site records, daily reports, and progress documentation
• Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations on site
• Identify and report any deviations, delays, or technical issues to the Project Engineer/Manager
• Support the preparation of as-built drawings and close-out documentation
• Attend site meetings and coordinate with design consultants on technical queries

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
• 3-6 years of experience in civil site engineering, preferably on building or infrastructure projects
• Strong knowledge of civil construction methods, materials, and standards
• Experience with site supervision, quality control, and HSE compliance
