Confidential Company in Dubai is seeking a Logistics Manager to oversee the entire lifecycle of goods from procurement to delivery. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or a related field and 3-5 years of experience in logistics operations, particularly with tobacco shipments.

The role involves coordinating with shipping agents, managing inventory levels, and implementing effective logistics strategies to streamline operations.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the entire lifecycle of goods from procurement to final delivery, ensuring efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Oversee from the factory the loading and unloading of the cargo.
• Develop and implement optimized logistics strategies to meet business objectives and enhance supply chain performance.
• Coordinate with the Shipping agent regarding shipments, storage space discrepancy, inventory accuracy.
• Communicating with Agency carriers, addressing shipping delays, and coordinating with the transport team.
• Monitor inventory levels and implement control measures to minimize stockouts, overstock and expired product situations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in logistics and supply chain operations in UAE.
• Proven experience in shipping lines handling tobacco shipments, managing transportation, warehousing, and inventory control in UAE.
• Proficiency in logistics software, including Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Transportation Management Systems (TMS).
• Proficiency of Logistics procedures and requirements in UAE especially in Tobacco Import/Export Shipments.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• With Driving License in UAE.
• Knows how to communicate in Arabic is a plus (but not required).
