Job summary

Star Services is seeking an experienced billet handling operator for our Abu Dhabi steel plant. The role requires hands-on work with billets, heat tracing, and strict adherence to production traceability procedures.

You will mark billets, verify counts, and coordinate with rolling mills to ensure smooth daily transfers. A background in billet quality and casting parameters is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Sufficient Technical knowledge of casting and casting parameters.
• In-depth knowledge of billet quality (preferred training).

Responsibilities

• Carries out duties assigned by the supervisor according to production requirements.
• Marks the first & last billet of every heat for the traceability purpose.
• Manually write the heat number on the first & last billet in case of the absence of marking machine for any reason.
• Verifies the physical number of produced billets & informs the CCM control room.
• In case of any abnormality, he identifies the non-conforming products and keeps it in inspection bed.
• Controls, inspects and stacks the good products and the non-compatible sequence in accordance to the WI (CCS-WI-011).
• Coordinate with the rolling mills controller to transfer the required billets on daily basis as per the working instruction.
• To ensure availability of consumables and tools required for carrying out billet handling operation in the CC machine.
• Ensures that work area is clean and free of obstacles or encumbrances.

Around 3 Years with billets caster industry having gas cutting system
