Job summary

Star Services in Abu Dhabi seeks a CCM Pulpit Operator to oversee Continuous Casting Machine activities in a steel making plant. You will monitor process parameters, operate CCM systems, and maintain product quality while ensuring safe and efficient production.

The role requires a Diploma or ITI, experience in CCM/steel making, knowledge of furnace and melting parameters, and strong data analysis and communication skills. Training and safety procedures are key responsibilities in this role.

Qualifications

• Diploma or ITI qualification required.
• Experience in Steel Making Plant / CCM operations preferred.
• Good knowledge of furnace and melting parameters.
• Knowledge of DRI melting applications and process troubleshooting preferred.
• Basic computer knowledge and data analysis skills.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Strong safety awareness and operational discipline.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor CCM systems as per production requirements.
• Ensure process parameters are maintained as per process sheets and supervisor instructions.
• Monitor HMI/CCM alarms and process trends and report abnormalities to the supervisor.
• Coordinate with EAF, LF, CC control room, cranes, and other sections for smooth plant operations.
• Ensure availability of consumables, tools, bins, and hopper materials required for operations.
• Follow temperature and sampling frequency procedures to maintain product consistency.
• Maintain housekeeping and ensure compliance with safety procedures and company policies.
• Respond effectively during emergency situations as per operational procedures.
• Support training of new employees and assist in improving plant productivity.
