Job summary

SUNDUS MANAGEMENT CONSULTANCY & STUDIES BUREAUL.L.C is seeking a billet handling operator for our casting plant in Abu Dhabi. The role requires hands-on experience in billet handling, quality verification, and adherence to safety, health, and environmental policies.

You will work under supervision to meet production targets and ensure traceability of billets from heat to product. Responsibilities include marking billets, coordinating with rolling mills, and maintaining tool availability.

Qualifications

• 5 years in a steel plant as a billet handling operator.
• Proven knowledge of billet quality and casting parameters.
• Familiar with safety, health, and environmental policies.

Responsibilities

• Mark billets and ensure traceability for each heat.
• Verify physical count of billets and report abnormalities.
• Coordinate with mills to transfer billets daily per WI CCS-WI-011.
• Maintain clean, safe work area and ensure availability of consumables and tools.
• Support quality control to ensure consistent product quality.

Job description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Carries out duties assigned by the supervisor according to production requirements Marks the first last billet of every heat for the traceability purpose Manually write the heat number on the first last billet in case of the absence of marking machine for any reason Verifies the physical number of produced billets informs the CCM control room In case of any abnormality he identifies the non-conforming products and keeps it in inspection bed Controls inspects and stacks the good products and the non-compatible sequence in accordance to the WI CCS-WI-011 Coordinate with the rolling mills controller to transfer the required billets on daily basis as per the working instruction To ensure availability of consumables and tools required for carrying out billet handling operation in the CC machine Ensures that work area is clean and free of any obstacles or encumbrances

Ensures the effective implementation of operational policies covering all areas of the casting plant so that all relevant procedural legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering a cost effective quality product to RM operation nbsp nbsp Carries out timely check on the billet quality to ensure consistent product qualitySample collection by gas cutting Co-ordinates with QC to ensure that the quality and quantity of the product delivered are consistent

NQA Job Responsibility

Shall be responsible for performing semi-finished product identification segregation handling storage as specified in the Emirates Steel QS Program to ensure compliance to applicable Standards ASME Code and Customer requirements
