Job summary

WSP in the Middle East is seeking a Senior Engineer - Water (Hydrology & Stormwater) to lead hydrology, stormwater and drainage design for major UAE projects within our Transport & Infrastructure unit.

The role requires 8+ years of experience, strong modelling skills (InfoWorks ICM, HEC-RAS, Flood Modeller, Civil 3D) and the ability to coordinate with multidisciplinary teams while delivering high-quality technical work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Water Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 8+ years of experience specialising in hydrology, stormwater management, and drainage design.
• Experience delivering infrastructure and land development projects within the UAE.

Responsibilities

• Undertake hydrological assessments, drainage studies, flood risk analyses, and stormwater management designs for infrastructure and land development projects.
• Perform hydrological and hydraulic modelling, including rainfall analysis, runoff calculations, flood modelling, and drainage network assessments.
• Develop sustainable drainage solutions and support climate-resilient infrastructure design.
• Prepare technical reports, calculations, design drawings, and modelling outputs.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure integrated project delivery.
• Support project managers and technical leads in delivering projects on time and within budget.
• Assist in identifying design risks, constraints, and opportunities throughout project development.
• Participate in project design reviews and technical workshops.
• Support the preparation of authority submissions and approval documentation.
