Qualifications

• 8+ years of Oracle database engineering experience in large organizations.
• Strong knowledge of: Oracle RAC, Oracle Data Guard, OEM, RMAN.
• Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and AWS.
• Unix/Linux environment familiarity.
• Scripting in Bash and Python.
• Experience with Agile working practices.

Responsibilities

• Administer and support Oracle databases, including RAC, Data Guard, and OEM usage.
• Manage database operations across OCI and AWS.
• Perform backup/recovery with RMAN and monitor using OEM.
• Patching and migrations; SQL and database performance tuning.
• Automate repetitive DBA tasks using Ansible, Jenkins, Terraform, Groovy.
• Support multiple projects and provide after-hours support when required.

Job Overview: We are looking for Senior Oracle Database Engineer to support technology projects across enterprise environments. The role requires strong expertise in Oracle database administration and performance tuning, combined with a strong interest in automating repetitive DBA activities using modern automation technologies. The successful candidate will work across multiple projects simultaneously and should be comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment, including occasional out-of-hours and weekend support as required.

Key Responsibilities

• Oracle Database Administration Administer and support Oracle databases, including:
• Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC)
• Oracle Data Guard
• Manage database operations across Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and AWS.
• Administer and monitor databases using Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM).
• Perform database backup and recovery activities using RMAN.

Performance & Database Engineering

• Perform database patching and migrations.
• Conduct SQL and database-level performance tuning.
• Identify and resolve database performance issues.
• Maintain database reliability and operational stability across technology projects.

Automation & DevOps

• Automate repetitive Oracle DBA activities using modern automation technologies.
• Develop and maintain automation using: Ansible Jenkins Terraform Groovy
• Contribute to improving operational efficiency through automation.

Project & Operational Support

• Work across multiple technology projects simultaneously.
• Operate effectively under pressure and support critical activities when required.
• Provide occasional out-of-hours and weekend support based on operational requirements.

Required Skills & Experience

• 8+ years of Oracle database engineering experience within large organizations.
• Excellent knowledge of: Oracle Database Administration Oracle RAC Oracle Data Guard Oracle Enterprise Manager RMAN
• Strong knowledge of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and AWS.
• Strong expertise in: Database patching Database migration SQL tuning Database performance tuning
• Good knowledge of SQL and/or PL/SQL.
• Good understanding of Unix/Linux operating systems.
• Scripting experience using Bash and Python.
• Good knowledge of Agile working practices.

Desirable experience with
