Job summary

Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation in Dubai is seeking an experienced Structural Inspector to verify construction works comply with approved drawings, codes and standards. You will conduct inspections before concrete pours and during structural steel works, prepare detailed reports, and coordinate with consultants, contractors and regulatory authorities.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, at least six years of building and construction inspection experience

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering is required.
• Minimum six years’ experience in building and construction inspection, including at least two years in the UAE.
• Preferred: experience in structural inspection and compliance with drawings, technical specifications and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Review and verify projects comply with drawings, specifications and regulations.
• Conduct structural inspections before concrete pouring and during structural steel works.
• Prepare inspection reports detailing compliance status, observations and corrective actions.
• Issue violation notices and penalties for non-compliant structural works.
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors and regulatory authorities to resolve issues and ensure documentation is complete.
