Job summary

DAR AL OMRAN is seeking a Senior Civil Site Supervisor in Dubai to conduct daily inspections of structural and civil works, ensure compliance with drawings and standards, and monitor quality on residential, commercial, hospitality, or mixed-use projects.

The role requires 7–8 years of building construction supervision experience, with 3–4 years in Dubai, strong drawing interpretation, and excellent documentation and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering required.
• 7–8 years of experience in building construction supervision within consultancy or engineering supervision firms.
• Minimum 3–4 years of experience in Dubai on residential, commercial, hospitality, or mixed-use building projects (mandatory).
• Strong ability to interpret architectural and structural drawings.
• Excellent observation, reporting, and communication skills.
• Familiarity with DM, DCD, and relevant Dubai authority approvals and standards.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily inspections for structural and civil works related to building projects (foundations, columns, slabs, blockwork, plastering, concrete works, waterproofing, finishing, etc.).
• Ensure all executed works comply with approved architectural and structural drawings, method statements, and material specifications.
• Monitor workmanship quality and highlight deviations through site observations and NCRs when required.
• Check formwork, rebar installation, concrete casting activities, and curing processes for structural elements.
• Inspect internal and external building finishes and verify adherence to project standards.
• Prepare daily and weekly inspection reports with photographic records.
• Maintain complete documentation for site inspections, approvals, and technical observations.
• Support the Resident Engineer in reviewing and commenting on ITPs, material submittals, and method statements.
• Coordinate with contractors and subcontractors to resolve site issues and ensure timely execution.
• Attend site progress meetings and report on inspection findings, risks, and delays.
• Liaise with local authorities (Dubai Municipality, Civil Defense, etc.) as needed for project compliance.
• Ensure that building works follow UAE Building Codes, Dubai Municipality regulations, and relevant international standards.
• Ensure that safety requirements are implemented during construction activities.
• Verify materials delivered to site and ensure they meet project specifications before installation.
