Job summary

Parsons Corporation in Dubai, United Arab Emirates is seeking a Structural Inspector - Civil Infrastructure to support inspection and supervision of structural works across major infrastructure and public works. The position requires a diploma or bachelor in civil engineering and at least 5 years of regional experience, with strong knowledge of construction processes

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years regional experience as Structural Inspector.
• Ability to interpret drawings, plans and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Carry out regular field inspections to ensure compliance with contract drawings and specifications.
• Inspect demolition and construction activities involving structural elements and related civil works.
• Monitor reservoirs, substations, retaining walls, bridges, tunnels and other structures.
• Verify materials have received required technical approvals for permanent works.
• Prepare inspection reports and maintain project documentation and site diaries.
• Identify nonconforming work and communicate findings to resolve issues with the supervising engineer.
