Job summary

Litco Industries in the United Arab Emirates is seeking a competent Structural Engineer to prepare and review designs, calculations, and drawings for steel structures and metalwork. You will perform analyses, coordinate with multiple teams, and ensure designs meet codes and project specs.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Civil/Structural Engineering with at least four years of relevant experience, preferably in UAE or industrial projects, and strong steel design knowledge.

Qualifications

• Required: Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Minimum 4 years of relevant structural engineering/design experience.
• UAE experience preferred, with knowledge of local codes.
• Experience in structural steel fabrication, steel structures, metal works, PEB, or industrial projects.
• Strong knowledge of steel design, connections, fabrication and erection.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review structural designs, calculations, drawings, and technical documents for steel structures and metalwork.
• Perform structural analysis and design in accordance with applicable international standards and project specifications.
• Prepare structural GA drawings, fabrication/shop drawings, connection details, and design documentation.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, architects, project engineers, production, and fabrication teams.
• Review engineering drawings, specifications, BOQs, and project requirements.
• Ensure designs are practical and suitable for fabrication, erection, and site installation.
• Coordinate closely with the production and fabrication teams to resolve technical and design-related issues.
• Review and approve shop/fabrication drawings and provide technical clarifications when required.
• Conduct design checks and identify potential clashes, discrepancies, and constructability issues.
• Support material take-offs, quantity calculations, and technical submissions.
• Assist with engineering changes, revisions, variations, and project documentation.
• Ensure all designs comply with relevant codes, standards, safety requirements, and client specifications.
• Provide technical support during fabrication and installation when required.
