Job summary

Litco Industries in Dubai is seeking a technically skilled Structural Design Engineer / Steel Structural Engineer / Structural Analysis Engineer to join our engineering team. The role focuses on steel design for industrial facilities, warehouses, and PE projects, with emphasis on STAAD Pro and related software.

You will perform load calculations, develop analysis models, review drawings, coordinate with detailers, and ensure compliance with international codes and local authority requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Strong experience in structural steel design and analysis.
• Proficiency with STAAD Pro is essential.
• Familiarity with ETABS, SAP2000, AutoCAD, Tekla Structures, RAM Connection or similar tools is advantageous.
• Knowledge of international design codes (AISC, ASCE, Eurocodes, BS) and local requirements.
• Ability to prepare design calculations and technical reports.

• We are looking for a technically skilled and experienced Structural Design Engineer / Steel Structural Engineer / Structural Analysis Engineer to join our engineering team in the UAE. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in structural steel design, structural analysis, steel connection design, load calculations, and engineering design software, particularly STAAD Pro. Candidates with experience in industrial buildings, warehouses, pre-engineered buildings (PEB), steel fabrication, steel erection, and other structural engineering projects are encouraged to apply..

Desired Candidate Profile

• Perform structural analysis and design of steel structures in accordance with applicable international design codes and project specifications.

• Design structural steel members, beams, columns, trusses, bracing systems, portal frames, and industrial steel structures.

• Carry out structural load calculations, including dead loads, live loads, wind loads, seismic loads, and equipment loads.

• Develop structural analysis models using STAAD Pro, ETABS, SAP2000, or equivalent engineering software.

• Perform steel connection design, including bolted connections, welded connections, base plates, anchor bolts, gusset plates, and moment connections.

• Conduct structural stability assessments, deflection checks, buckling analysis, and member capacity verification.

• Design steel structures for warehouses, factories, industrial buildings, mezzanine floors, platforms, canopies, staircases, and pipe racks.

• Prepare structural design calculations, technical reports, design documentation, and engineering submissions.

• Review structural drawings, general arrangement drawings, fabrication drawings, and shop drawings.

• Coordinate with structural detailers, Tekla modelers, fabrication teams, site engineers, and project managers.

• Review structural design requirements based on architectural drawings, project specifications, and client requirements.

• Support value engineering, design optimization, material efficiency, and cost-effective structural solutions.

• Ensure structural designs comply with relevant standards, including AISC, ASCE, Eurocodes, BS Codes, and applicable local authority requirements.

• Provide technical support during fabrication, erection, design revisions, and site execution.

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.

• Relevant experience in structural design and analysis, preferably involving steel structures and steel fabrication projects.

  Strong working knowledge of STAAD Pro is essential.

• Experience in structural steel member design, connection design, and structural load analysis.

• Knowledge of structural engineering codes, design standards, and steel construction practices.

• Ability to prepare structural design calculations, engineering reports, and technical documentation.

• Experience reviewing structural drawings, fabrication drawings, and steel connection details.

• Familiarity with AutoCAD, Tekla Structures, ETABS, SAP2000, IDEA StatiCa, RAM Connection, or similar software is advantageous.

• Strong analytical, engineering problem-solving, and technical coordination skills.

• UAE or GCC structural engineering experience will be an added advantage.
