Job summary

LITCO Industries is seeking an experienced Structural Engineer / Design Engineer to join our UAE engineering team. You will lead structural analysis, design, drawings, detailing, and coordination for steel and metalwork projects.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years of relevant UAE experience, strong knowledge of steel design, fabrication drawings, and construction coordination with production and project teams, and the ability to read complex structural drawings and specs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering / Structural Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in structural engineering/design.
• UAE experience preferred.
• Experience in structural steel fabrication, steel structures, metal works, PEB, or industrial projects is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of structural steel design, connections, fabrication, and erection.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review structural designs, calculations, drawings, and technical documents for steel structures and metalwork.
• Perform structural analysis and design in accordance with applicable international standards and project specifications.
• Prepare structural GA drawings, fabrication/shop drawings, connection details, and design documentation.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, architects, project engineers, production, and fabrication teams.
• Review engineering drawings, specifications, BOQs, and project requirements.
• Ensure designs are practical and suitable for fabrication, erection, and site installation.
• Coordinate closely with the production and fabrication teams to resolve technical and design-related issues.
• Review and approve shop/fabrication drawings and provide technical clarifications when required.
• Conduct design checks and identify potential clashes, discrepancies, and constructability issues.
• Support material take-offs, quantity calculations, and technical submissions.
• Assist with engineering changes, revisions, variations, and project documentation.
• Ensure all designs comply with relevant codes, standards, safety requirements, and client specifications.
• Provide technical support during fabrication and installation when required.
