Job summary

Lucky Eng. Services in the UAE is seeking a strong Structural Steel Design Engineer to join our design team. You will design steel structures, perform load calculations and prepare engineering drawings for fabrication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Structural, Civil or Mechanical Engineering.
• 3+ years of steel structure design experience (UAE/GCC preferred).
• Strong knowledge of steel design codes and connections.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, STAAD Pro, ETABS, Tekla Structures.
• Understanding of steel fabrication and erection processes.
• Ability to read and prepare engineering drawings accurately.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Design steel structures including portal frames, trusses, mezzanines, platforms and supports.
• Prepare load calculations and structural analysis using STAAD Pro, ETABS or similar.
• Design bolted and welded connections and base plates.
• Prepare and review GA drawings, shop drawings and fabrication drawings.
• Coordinate with fabrication, estimation, procurement and site teams.
• Review client requirements, drawings and specifications.
• Ensure designs comply with AISC, Eurocode 3, BS 5950 and AWS D1.1.
• Address technical queries from workshop and site.
• Support material take-offs, BOQ and revisions.

We are hiring a strong Structural Steel Design Engineer to join our design team in the UAE.

Key Responsibilities

• Design structural steel buildings, portal frames, trusses, mezzanines, platforms and supports
• Prepare load calculations and structural analysis using STAAD Pro, ETABS or similar software
• Design bolted and welded connections and base plates
• Prepare and review GA drawings, shop drawings and fabrication drawings
• Coordinate with the fabrication, estimation, procurement and site teams
• Review client requirements drawings and specifications
• Make sure designs follow international codes such as AISC, Eurocode 3, BS 5950 and AWS D1 1
• Resolve technical queries from the workshop and site
• Support material take-offs, BOQ and revisions to designs

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Structural, Civil or Mechanical Engineering.
• 3+ years of experience in steel structure design (UAE or GCC experience preferred).
• Strong knowledge of steel design codes and connection design.
• Skilled in AutoCAD, STAAD Pro, ETABS, Tekla Structures (any combination).
• Good understanding of steel fabrication and erection processes.
• Ability to read and prepare engineering drawings accurately.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with PEB (Pre-Engineered Building) design
• Experience with SAP2000, IDEA StatiCa, Revit Structure or SolidWorks
• Experience with industrial or warehouse projects
• Valid UAE driving license
