Job summary

AlphaMind Group is seeking a Senior Sommelier for CLAP Dubai, a luxury restaurant, bar, and lounge offering Japanese cuisine and high-end beverage service. You will lead wine and sake service, curate the wine program, and mentor the service team to deliver exceptional guest experiences.

The role requires extensive wine knowledge, Sake expertise, and a track record of driving beverage revenue in a premium setting. Fluency in English and a passion for hospitality are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years as a Sommelier or 1 year as Senior in a luxury dining concept
• WSET Level 2 or 3 desirable
• Strong knowledge of Old World and New World wines, Champagne, premium spirits, sake, and food pairing
• Experience managing an extensive wine list with premium international clientele
• Excellent English communication, written and spoken

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional wine and sake service with luxury hospitality standards
• Assist guests with wine and sake selections and provide knowledgeable recommendations
• Recommend wine, sake, and beverage pairings for CLAP Dubai’s dining experience
• Manage wine cellar, stock rotation, inventory, and temperature control
• Maintain wine lists with vintages, availability, and pricing
• Drive beverage sales through upselling and personalized recommendations
• Train service team on wine knowledge, pairings, and service standards
