Job summary

AlphaMind’s CLAP Dubai is seeking a Senior Sommelier to lead wine and sake service across a luxury Japanese concept. You will manage wine lists, mentor staff, and drive beverage sales while delivering exceptional guest experiences in a high-volume, multicultural environment.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years as a sommelier in premium venues, WSET certification preferred, strong English communication, and a passion for wine, spirits, and hospitality excellence.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Sommelier in premium venues.
• WSET Level 2 or 3 certification is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of Old World and New World wines, champagne, premium spirits and sake.
• Experience managing an extensive wine list and serving international clientele.
• Excellent English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver wine and sake service that enhances guest dining experiences.
• Assist guests with selections and provide personalized recommendations.
• Recommend wine, sake, and beverage pairings with the cuisine.
• Maintain wine cellar, stock, inventory and temperature control.
• Train and mentor service team on wine knowledge and service standards.
• Drive beverage sales through upselling and confident recommendations.
