Job summary

M&C Saatchi in the United Arab Emirates is seeking a Senior Social Media Manager for a 3 to 6 months contract, working in Ras Al Khaimah with 2/3 days per week on-site. You will lead end-to-end social media delivery across the client’s accounts, chair editorial discussions, and manage the team with minimal supervision from the Marketing function.

Responsibilities

• Own overall delivery across RAK social accounts.
• Chair the weekly editorial room for content and priorities.
• Act as senior escalation point for community management and reputational matters.
• Lock the shoot plan one month ahead with the creative producer.
• Build and maintain the day-to-day client relationship as a senior extension of the RAK marketing function.
• Set and sign off monthly content plans and bilingual copy direction across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn and X.
• Ensure content, tone and visual direction stay on-brand across destinations and audiences.
• Translate insights into forward content decisions.
• Set day-to-day priorities for the remote community management hub and monitor SLA performance.
• Review sensitive replies before publishing and escalate when needed.
• Monitor delivery against contracted monthly volumes and consolidate reporting.
• Manage resourcing and delivery against account cost and margin targets.

Job description

Contract : 3 to 6 months contract. In RAK 2/3 days per week.

The Senior Social Media Manager owns day-to-day delivery of social media account end to end — across Ras Al Khaimah Client. This is the senior point of accountability for content quality, publishing volumes, community management SLA performance and client escalation, chairing the weekly editorial room and holding a dotted line into the remote community management hub. The role carries full ownership of the account's delivery against contracted scope, and is expected to run the team, the calendar and the client relationship with minimal oversight from the Marketing team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Account Leadership & Client Management

• Own overall delivery of the scope across RAK social accounts
• Chair the weekly editorial room, aligning the senior/executive team and the creative producer on the month's content, shoots and priorities
• Act as the senior escalation point for the client on community management, sensitive content and reputational matters
• Lock the shoot plan one month ahead against the content calendar, working with the creative producer
• Build and hold the day-to-day client relationship, positioning the team as a trusted, senior extension of RAK marketing function

Content Strategy & Planning

• Set and sign off monthly content plans and bilingual (English/Arabic) copy direction across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn and X
• Ensure content, tone and visual direction stay consistent and on-brand across the destination and audiences
• Translate community insight, platform performance and business moments into forward content decisions

Team & Community Management Oversight

• Set day-to-day priorities for the remote community management hub and own its performance against SLA (standard enquiries within 1-2 hours, direct messages within 3 hours, negative sentiment within 1 hour, crisis monitoring within 30 minutes)
• Review and approve sensitive replies before publishing, and elevate to the client when risk or sensitivity requires it

Reporting & Commercial Delivery

• Monitor delivery against contracted monthly volumes
• Own monthly and ad hoc client reporting, consolidating performance and delivery across all five accounts
• Manage resourcing and delivery against the account's cost and margin targets

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

• 4-6 years' experience in social media management, including at least 2 years in an social account management capacity, agency-side preferred
• Proven experience running tourism or destination social marketing
• Social strategy and channel native content planning experience required
• Fluent English required; Arabic (spoken and written) strongly preferred given the bilingual content requirement
• Experience owning community management SLAs and crisis escalation protocols
• Confident, senior client-facing manner, comfortable managing up with client stakeholders and leading under pressure
• Based in the UAE, or able to relocate, with flexibility to travel regularly to Ras Al Khaimah (2/3 days per week)
