Responsibilities

• Conduct structured site inspections and SHE audits covering work areas, activities, equipment, behaviors, and operational conditions.
• Identify hazards, unsafe practices, regulatory deficiencies, and emerging risks and establish appropriate follow-up actions.
• Develop site-specific safety procedures and programs based on operational activities and identified risk profiles.
• Monitor implementation of safety controls and evaluate whether existing measures remain effective as site conditions change.
• Perform hazard assessments and formal risk evaluations for new activities, projects, equipment, processes, and operational modifications.
• Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses and establish factual findings through systematic evidence gathering.
• Apply root cause analysis techniques to determine underlying failures rather than focusing only on immediate causes.
• Recommend corrective and preventive measures and monitor actions through satisfactory closure.
• Deliver safety training, awareness sessions, and practical guidance to personnel across different organizational levels.
• Engage with multicultural site teams to reinforce individual accountability and consistent safe working practices.
• Monitor compliance with UAE occupational health and safety requirements, relevant GCC standards, environmental obligations, and project procedures.

• Develop targeted improvement initiatives based on recurring hazards and measurable safety performance trends.

• Provide practical advice when teams require clarification on safety controls, working methods, or compliance requirements.
• Act as a central contact for site safety concerns and elevate significant or uncontrolled risks to appropriate management.
