Job summary

AECOM in the United Arab Emirates is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to lead sewer and utility infrastructure supervision on-site in Al Ain. You will ensure compliance with IFC/shop drawings, manage QA/QC, coordinate with surveyors, and guide site inspectors and contractors through testing and commissioning.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Civil Engineering and at least 10 years of UAE/GCC experience, plus familiarity with TAQA WS standards.

Qualifications

• Strong QA/QC understanding.
• Proficiency in reviewing technical drawings.
• Knowledge of utility coordination and multidisciplinary interfaces.
• Ability to lead site teams and manage multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the construction of gravity sewer pipelines, manholes, inspection chambers, house connections, laterals, tie-ins, and associated sewer structures.
• Monitor excavation, shoring, dewatering, bedding, pipe laying, jointing, and backfilling activities.
• Coordinate with Survey Team to verify alignment, gradients, invert levels, and coordinates.
• Review shop drawings, RFIs, technical queries, inspection requests and method statements.
• Lead and witness leakage tests, CCTV inspections, testing and commissioning.
