Job summary

KN International Architects and Engineers LLC in Abu Dhabi seeks an experienced Senior Engineer – Sewer to oversee sewerage infrastructure works, ensuring compliance with project requirements, engineering standards, and authority regulations.

The role involves supervising construction activities, reviewing submissions, coordinating with stakeholders, and managing testing, commissioning and handover of sewer networks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• 10+ years of experience in infrastructure projects including sewerage networks.
• Experience in UAE/GCC infrastructure projects preferred.
• Familiarity with TAQA Water Solutions (TAQA WS) standards and authority requirements.

Responsibilities

• Supervise construction of sewer pipelines, manholes, inspection chambers, service connections and related structures.
• Ensure works comply with approved drawings, project specs, material approvals, method statements and ITPs.
• Monitor excavation, shoring, dewatering, pipe installation, bedding, backfilling and compaction activities.
• Review shop drawings, RFIs, technical queries, method statements and inspection requests with input.
• Oversee testing, CCTV inspections, commissioning and handover; address defects and close observations.
• Coordinate sewerage works with roads, stormwater, water supply, irrigation, and other interfaces.
• Liaise with Resident Engineer, contractors, consultants, QA/QC, inspectors, client reps and authorities.
