Sewer Pipeline Inspector & QA/QC Lead

Job summary

AECOM in the United Arab Emirates seeks a Mid-Level Civil Inspector to oversee sewer pipeline construction, manholes, inspections and related structures. You will ensure compliance with approved drawings, shop drawings, project specs, method statements and ITPs.

Coordinate with the ARE/RE, QA/QC Team, Material Engineer and Surveyors to ensure smooth project execution, monitor safety and testing activities, and prepare daily inspection records for timely handover.

Qualifications

• Diploma civil engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in infrastructure projects, with substantial experience in sewerage network construction and inspection.
• Proven experience in sewer pipelines, manholes, chambers, testing, commissioning, and utility coordination.
• UAE/GCC experience and familiarity with TAQA Water Solutions (TAQA WS) standards and authority requirements are preferred.
• Good understanding of QA/QC procedures, inspection processes, and HSE requirements.
• Strong communication, reporting, and coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Inspect gravity sewer pipelines, manholes, inspection chambers, house connections, laterals, tie-ins and related sewer structures.
• Monitor excavation, shoring, dewatering, trench prep, bedding, pipe laying, jointing, backfilling, compaction and reinstatement.
• Verify compliance with IFC drawings, shop drawings, project specifications, method statements, material approvals, and ITPs.
• Coordinate with Survey Team on pipeline alignment, gradients, invert levels, coordinates, and manhole construction.
• Witness and record leakage, deflection, flow tests, CCTV inspections and other testing/commissioning activities.
• Review CCTV findings and ensure corrective actions and defect rectification.
