Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to lead sewerage network construction and related utility interfaces in Abu Dhabi. You will supervise field teams, review drawings, and ensure compliance with project specifications and regulatory requirements.

The role requires a minimum of 10 years in infrastructure, strong coordination, and stakeholder management skills, with experience in the UAE/GCC and TAQA WS standards. On-site work with day-one onboarding is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in infrastructure projects, with significant experience in sewerage networks and utility infrastructure works.
• Experience in the UAE/GCC and familiarity with TAQA Water Solutions (TAQA WS) standards and procedures is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of sewer network construction, testing, commissioning, and authority approval processes.
• Excellent coordination, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the construction of gravity sewer pipelines and associated structures.
• Ensure works comply with IFC drawings, shop drawings, specs, method statements and approvals.
• Monitor excavation, shoring, dewatering, bedding, pipe laying, jointing and backfilling.
• Verify pipeline alignment, gradients, invert levels, coordinates with Survey Team.
• Review shop drawings, RFIs, technical queries, inspection requests and method statements.
• Supervise leakage, deflection, flow tests, CCTV inspections and commissioning.
• Review CCTV reports and closure of defects and corrective actions.
• Coordinate sewer interfaces with roads, water, irrigation, and other utilities.
• Identify construction constraints and coordinate resolutions with stakeholders.
• Lead Sewer Inspectors and site supervision teams.
