Job summary

Jobgether, on behalf of a partner company in the United Arab Emirates, seeks a Senior Security Operations Engineer. You will lead security operations, develop secure tooling, and mentor engineers within a distributed, remote-first team.

You will design and implement threat detection and incident response capabilities, automate security workflows, and contribute to open source security initiatives while interacting with global colleagues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS, STEM or equivalent expertise required.
• 10+ years in cybersecurity or software engineering with SOC focus.
• Experience leading a Security Operations Center is preferred.
• Proficient in scripting and building secure tooling.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational and technical leadership across security operations initiatives.
• Design, build, deploy, and operate security software, platforms, and tooling.
• Monitor environments, investigate incidents, and coordinate responses.
• Assess controls and drive improvements to security posture.
• Automate security processes using software engineering and SRE practices.
• Mentor early-career Security Operations engineers.
• Plan and deliver security initiatives within an agile framework.
• Collaborate with engineering and security teams on complex challenges.
• Contribute to open source security projects and communities.
