Job summary

Jobgether on behalf of a partner company is seeking an Engineering Manager - Security Standards and Hardening based in the United Arab Emirates. You will lead a team of engineers responsible for applying rigorous security practices across OS, cloud, edge environments, and modern software platforms.

You will drive security standards, cryptographic module work, and compliance with FIPS, CIS, STIG, FedRAMP, and the Cyber Resilience Act, shaping secure software deployments and engaging with

Qualifications

• Experience leading engineering teams and coaching technical talent.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, STEM, or a comparable technical discipline.
• Significant experience with FIPS or Common Criteria-certified products and security standards.
• Hands-on with DISA STIG or CIS benchmarks and audit/remediation tooling.
• Strong knowledge of software security and secure engineering practices.
• Experience in an Agile software development environment.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication with stakeholders.
• Strong organizational and project management abilities.
• Proactive leadership and collaboration with open-source communities.
• Willingness to travel ~ twice per year for events.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of engineers across levels, from graduates to seniors.
• Coach team members, provide career guidance, and deliver actionable feedback.
• Establish and monitor team health indicators and foster a high-performing culture.
• Implement disciplined engineering processes and promote best practices.
• Represent the team with stakeholders, customers, and industry partners.
• Plan and manage progress against goals, projects, and deliverables.
• Support products in meeting rigorous security requirements and industry standards (FIPS, CIS, STIG, FedRAMP, Cyber Resilience Act).
• Lead efforts involving cryptographic modules and FIPS 140 compliance and system hardening.
• Collaborate with industry groups to advance secure deployments and compliance practices.
• Guide teams in adopting security best practices and maintaining high software quality.
• Identify opportunities to improve workflows, collaboration, and delivery.
• Ensure alignment with priorities and timely, high-quality delivery.
