Job summary

Enhance is hiring a highly technical Senior SDET to own quality across our web, mobile, and backend platform and to strengthen automation frameworks. You will debug end-to-end, reproduce issues in UI, trace through APIs, services, logs, and databases, and hand clear findings to developers.

You will build and grow test automation, ensure release readiness, and validate integrations with gym management software and other third-party systems.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in software QA or test engineering, including 3+ years building automation frameworks.
• Strong SQL knowledge and experience with data validation.

Responsibilities

• Own QA planning, test strategy, execution and release readiness across web, mobile, and backend.
• Write complex SQL queries to validate data flows and backend logic.
• Build and maintain API automation in REST Assured (Java).
• Build and maintain web automation in Playwright (TypeScript).
• Improve framework design, stability, CI/CD integration, and coverage.
• Validate integrations with gym management systems and third-party tools.
• Use Datadog to debug issues and help identify root causes.
• Collaborate with QA Lead, Product, Backend, Mobile, Data, and Infra.
• Contribute to test strategy discussions, code reviews, and quality metrics.

The Role

We're looking for a highly technical Senior SDET to own quality across our web, mobile, and backend platform, and to strengthen the automation frameworks behind it.

This role is for someone who can debug an issue end-to-end: reproduce it in the UI, trace it through APIs, services, logs, and the database, find the root cause, and hand developers clear, actionable findings. You'll be equally strong at testing integrations, making sure data flows correctly between our platform and third‑party systems like gym management software. You'll also help build and grow our test automation and support release readiness through to production.

What You'll Work On

• Own QA planning, test strategy, execution, and release readiness across web, mobile, and backend systems.
• Write complex SQL queries to validate data flows, data integrity, and backend business logic.
• Build and maintain API automation in REST Assured (Java) framework.
• Build and maintain web automation in Playwright (TypeScript) framework.
• Improve framework design, reusability, stability, and CI/CD integration, and grow automation coverage over time.
• Validate integrations with gym management systems & other third party integrations.
• Use Datadog to debug issues and to help developers to find the root cause of the issues quickly.
• Work closely with the QA Lead, Product, Backend, Mobile, Data, and Infra.
• Contribute to test strategy discussions, code reviews, and quality metrics.

What We're Looking For

• Ideally 7+ years in software QA or test engineering, including at least 3 years building and maintaining automation frameworks.
• Strong hands‑on SQL knowledge
• Solid programming skills in Java and TypeScript.
• Proven experience with REST Assured and Playwright, or similar API and web automation tools.
• Hands‑on experience with Datadog or a similar observability tool for logs, APM traces, and debugging.
• A full‑stack understanding of how frontend, APIs, services, and databases fit together, and the ability to debug across all of them.
• Experience running automated tests in CI/CD pipelines and working with Git.
• Good judgment around risk‑based testing, test data, flaky tests, and what to automate versus test manually.
• Clear communication with all the stakeholders about scope, risks, defects, and release readiness.
• Comfortable working in a growing company where not everything is perfectly structured yet.
