You will design test plans, implement Playwright or Selenium automation, and integrate with GitLab CI/CD. You will mentor junior QA engineers and drive QA standards across teams.

Formación

• 7+ years in Software Quality Assurance, incl. 3+ years test automation.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Hands-on automation with Playwright and/or Selenium WebDriver.
• Experience API test automation and REST services.
• Experience integrating test suites in GitLab CI/CD pipelines.

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior QA Engineer with strong expertise in test automation to join our technology team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of software applications through comprehensive testing strategies, automation frameworks, and continuous quality improvement practices. The role requires close collaboration with developers, product owners, business analysts and DevOps teams to deliver high-quality software solutions in an Agile environment.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement comprehensive test strategies, plans, and test cases based on business and technical requirements.
• Participate in requirement reviews and provide quality-focused feedback during the SDLC.
• Estimate testing efforts and identify testing risks and mitigation plans.

Test Automation

• Design, develop, maintain, and enhance automated test frameworks and test scripts.
• Create automated tests for functional, regression, integration, API, and end-to-end testing.
• Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines.
• Monitor automation execution results and perform root cause analysis of test failures.
• Continuously improve automation coverage and framework scalability.

Quality Assurance Activities

• Perform functional, system integration, regression, UAT support, and exploratory testing.
• Validate application functionality, performance, usability, and reliability.
• Identify, document, track, and verify software defects.
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure timely defect resolution.
• Actively participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and backlog grooming.
• Work closely with Product Owners and Business Analysts to understand requirements and define acceptance criteria.
• Mentor junior QA engineers and promote QA best practices across teams.
• Drive adoption of QA standards, test automation best practices, and quality metrics.
• Recommend process improvements to enhance overall product quality and testing efficiency.
• Stay updated with emerging QA tools, technologies, and industry trends.

Experience and Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance, including at least 3 years of hands‑on test automation experience.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Hands‑on experience in test automation using Playwright and/or Selenium WebDriver.
• Proven experience in API test automation, including validation of RESTful services.
• Experience designing and maintaining automation frameworks and integrating test suites within GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with BDD frameworks (Cucumber or similar).
• Experience supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities.

Skills and Competencies:

• Proven ability to analyze complex problems and drive effective solutions.
• In-depth understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Hands‑on programming experience, preferably in Java and Spring Boot.
• Comprehensive understanding of software testing methodologies and Agile delivery practices.
• Excellent communication, documentation, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work across multiple projects and manage competing priorities effectively.
