Job summary

Enhance is recruiting a Data Engineer in Dubai to design and run data pipelines that ingest data from our product and partner gyms into a single reliable data warehouse. You will own data ingestion, storage, and orchestration while collaborating with analytics and product teams to enable data-driven insights.

You’ll build reliable integrations for new gym partners, maintain data quality, and implement monitoring, alerts and security controls to protect personal data across markets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years in data engineering, building and running production pipelines.
• Strong Python and SQL skills.
• Experience with orchestration tools (Airflow/Dagster/Prefect).
• Experience with cloud warehouses (BigQuery/Snowflake/Redshift) and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure).
• Experience pulling data from APIs, relational DBs (PostgreSQL/MySQL).
• Knowledge of data modeling, ELT patterns and data quality testing.
• Version control with Git and familiarity with CI/CD.

Responsibilities

• Build and run data pipelines from apps, partner gym systems and third‑party APIs into the data warehouse.
• Connect and onboard new gym partners ensuring data matches standard formats.
• Own the data platform including warehouse, storage and orchestration for speed and cost efficiency.
• Implement monitoring, alerts, tests, and data quality checks to prevent pipeline failures.
• Protect data with access controls and privacy/compliance considerations.
• Enable analytics by delivering clean raw and staging data for modelling.
• Promote good engineering practices like version control, code reviews and CI/CD.

About the role

Enhance is hiring a Data Engineer in Dubai to build the pipelines and platform that bring data from our product and our partner gyms into one reliable place.

Enhance powers personal training for gym operators around the world. Our B2B SaaS platform helps gym chains sell, schedule and manage PT, and we also run PT services directly inside our partners’ clubs. Every partner, club and trainer adds data, and this role makes sure it arrives on time, accurate and ready to use.

You’ll join the Data team and work closely with our analytics engineers, product engineers and partner integration teams. You’ll own how data gets in, how it’s stored and how it scales, so the analytics team can focus on insights.

What you’ll do

• Build and run data pipelines. Design, build and maintain batch and near‑real‑time pipelines from our app databases, partner gym systems, payment providers and third‑party APIs into our data warehouse.


• Connect partner data. Build reliable, reusable integrations for new gym partners, so each one can be onboarded quickly and its data matches our standard format.


• Own the data platform. Manage our warehouse, storage and orchestration, and keep them fast, scalable and cost‑efficient as we grow.


• Keep data reliable. Add monitoring, alerts, tests and data quality checks, and fix pipeline failures before they reach a dashboard.


• Protect our data. Set up access controls, handle personal data safely, and follow privacy and data protection rules in each market we serve.


• Enable the analytics team. Work with analytics engineers to deliver clean, well‑documented raw and staging data they can model on.


• Improve how we work. Bring in good engineering practice: version control, code review, CI/CD and infrastructure as code.

What you bring

Must have

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics or a related technical field.


• 3–5 years in data engineering, building and running production pipelines.


• Strong Python and SQL.


• Hands‑on experience with an orchestration tool, such as Airflow, Dagster or Prefect.


• Experience with a cloud warehouse (BigQuery, Snowflake or Redshift) and a major cloud platform (AWS, GCP or Azure).


• Experience pulling data from APIs, relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and files.


• Good grasp of data modelling, ELT patterns and data quality testing.


• Version control with Git and familiarity with CI/CD.

Nice to have

• Master's degree in a technical field.


• Experience with streaming or change data capture tools (Kafka, Kinesis, Debezium).


• Experience with dbt and with ingestion tools such as Fivetran or Airbyte.


• Infrastructure as code (Terraform) and containers (Docker, Kubernetes).


• Experience building integrations for B2B SaaS or multi‑tenant data platforms.


• Knowledge of data privacy rules, such as UAE PDPL or GDPR.


• Arabic is a plus but not required.
