Job summary

Checkout.com, based in Dubai, is seeking a seasoned Sales Engineer to lead technical pre-sales activities for the MENA region. You will own client relationships technically across the sales lifecycle, guiding solution design, integration strategies, and go-live planning.

You will collaborate with internal teams to position capabilities and craft bespoke solutions that meet merchant needs, while translating complex requirements into clear business outcomes.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in a Sales Engineer / Solutions Architect or Pre-Sales role.
• Experience in a technically facing client role.
• Familiar with API based integration and related tools/frameworks.
• Experience with common frontend (JavaScript, React, Angular) and backend (Java, .NET, Python, Node) technologies.
• Commercially-minded with strong business sense.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Highly organized with ability to prioritize shifting workloads.
• Ability to translate technical jargon into business language.
• Previous exposure to RFI/RFP processes.
• Deep payments domain knowledge and industry exposure.

Responsibilities

• Qualify merchants' technical needs upfront.
• Collaborate with Sales to provide product, business and tech knowledge for pre-sales.
• Lead technical/commercial workshops.
• Contribute inputs for proposals and RFI/RFP responses.
• Improve solution design and documentation for custom merchant solutions.
• Enhance technical communication with merchants during the sales process.
• Translate requirements into concrete, viable solutions.
• Stay up-to-date with industry standards to offer best bespoke solutions.
• Act as the primary technical SME supporting the Sales team.
• Design and deliver technical and commercial workshops for prospects.
