Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Senior Resident Engineer for a major Abu Dhabi infrastructure project. You will lead the site supervision team across bridges, tunnels, roads, and utilities, ensuring works meet drawings, specs, and contract requirements.

You’ll coordinate with the Contractor, Client, and authorities to deliver on time, with QA/QC and safety at the forefront. You will review technical submittals, manage shop drawings, and lead coordination meetings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Experience in bridge, tunnel, road, and infrastructure projects.
• Site supervision and construction management experience.
• Knowledge of QA/QC procedures and contract requirements.
• UAE/GCC infrastructure project experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the site supervision team and oversee day-to-day construction activities.
• Supervise and monitor construction works for bridges, tunnels, roads, utilities, and associated infrastructure works.
• Ensure works follow approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and contract requirements.
• Coordinate with Contractor, Client, Authorities, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth execution.
• Monitor progress, programme, resources, and construction performance.
• Review shop drawings, method statements, RFIs, and submittals.
• Ensure QA/QC procedures and inspection requirements are implemented.
• Identify and resolve technical, construction, and coordination issues promptly.
• Lead site meetings, progress meetings, and technical coordination meetings.
• Monitor quality, HSE, progress, and contractual requirements.
• Coordinate interfaces between civil, structural, utilities and other works.
• Review completed works and ensure testing, inspection, documentation, and handover.
