Job summary

AECOM in Abu Dhabi is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor with site supervision expertise to oversee cost management, contract administration, and field supervision for large-scale construction projects. You will lead a team of quantity surveying professionals, ensure financial accuracy, regulatory compliance, and timely delivery while driving cost control and value for money.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
• Minimum 10 years of quantity surveying experience with cost estimation and budgets.
• At least 8 years of direct site supervision on construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of contract administration and standard forms of contract.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor all site activities, ensuring adherence to project schedules, quality standards, and safety regulations.
• Prepare and manage detailed cost estimates, budgets, and financial forecasts for assigned projects.
• Administer contracts, including review, negotiation, and enforcement of contractual terms and conditions.
• Process and evaluate variation orders, change requests, and claims with thorough documentation and analysis.
• Coordinate with vendors, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure timely delivery and cost optimization.
• Conduct regular site inspections and prepare comprehensive progress reports for stakeholders.
• Analyze project performance data and provide actionable recommendations for cost control and efficiency improvements.
• Lead and mentor junior quantity surveying staff, fostering professional development and maintaining high performance standards.
• Maintain accurate and organized project documentation, including contracts, invoices, and correspondence.
• Identify and assess project risks, implementing mitigation strategies to protect project interests.
• Ensure compliance with local building codes, regulations, and organizational policies throughout project execution.
