Job summary

AECOM is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to support delivery of a major infrastructure project in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The role involves cost monitoring, contractor payments, and commercial administration within a multidisciplinary team on-site.

Responsibilities include evaluating interim payments, variations, and bills of quantities, with strong emphasis on FIDIC-based contract administration and timely cost reporting. A Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• Strong infrastructure and construction project experience.
• Good knowledge of FIDIC and construction contract administration.
• Experience with variations, claims, payments, and cost control.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and analytical skills.
• Ability to work within a multidisciplinary project team.

Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor project costs, budgets, and overall financial performance.
• Review and evaluate interim payment applications and Contractor claims.
• Assess variations, change orders, and their associated cost implications.
• Prepare and review Bills of Quantities, measurements, and cost estimates.
• Monitor contractual and commercial matters in accordance with the applicable contract.
• Review and assess Extension of Time submissions and associated cost implications.
• Maintain accurate records of project costs, variations, payments, and commercial correspondence.
• Support the preparation of commercial reports and project cost forecasts.
• Coordinate with the Client, Consultant, Contractor, and wider project team on commercial matters.
• Identify potential commercial risks and provide recommendations to the project management team.
