Job summary

AECOM is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor in Abu Dhabi to manage project quantities, costs, contracts, and commercial activities from inception to completion.

You will prepare take-offs, cost estimates, and tender documents, review drawings and contracts, and monitor budgets and variations while coordinating with project managers and stakeholders to ensure financial control and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in quantity surveying or construction cost management.
• Strong knowledge of measurement, BOQ preparation, estimation and contracts.
• Proficiency in MS Excel; knowledge of QS software and AutoCAD is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare quantity take-offs, BOQs, cost estimates, and tender documents.
• Review drawings and contract documents to determine quantities and costs.
• Monitor project costs, budgets, variations, and expenditures.
• Review contractor quotations, payment applications, and interim valuations.
• Assess variations, claims, and final accounts.
• Conduct site measurements and verify completed works.
• Prepare cost reports, forecasts, and commercial documentation.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, contractors, and consultants.
• Maintain accurate records of quantities, costs, contracts, and project documentation.
• Ensure compliance with contractual requirements and relevant standards.
