Job summary

AECOM in the United Arab Emirates seeks an experienced Quantity Surveyor to manage project quantities, costs, contracts and commercial activities. The role ensures accurate cost estimation, measurement, valuation and financial control throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities include preparing BOQs and cost estimates, reviewing drawings and contract documentation, monitoring costs and variations, and coordinating with project teams to maintain records and ensure contractual compliance

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
• 8+ years of relevant quantity surveying/ cost management experience.
• Strong knowledge of measurement, BOQ preparation, estimation and contracts.

Responsibilities

• Prepare quantity take-offs, BOQs, cost estimates and tender documents.
• Review drawings, specifications and contracts to determine quantities and costs.
• Monitor project costs, budgets, variations and expenditures.
• Review contractor quotations, payment applications and interim valuations.
• Assess variations, claims and final accounts.
• Conduct site measurements and verify completed works.
• Prepare cost reports, forecasts and commercial documentation.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, contractors and consultants.
• Maintain accurate records of quantities, costs and contracts.
• Ensure compliance with contractual requirements and standards.
