Job summary

Gardinia Contracting seeks a Senior QA/QC Engineer (MEP) to oversee quality assurance and control for landscape, pool, irrigation, and related MEP works in UAE projects. You will lead QA/QC activities on site, ensuring compliance with shop drawings, specs, and manufacturer guidelines.

You will develop procedures, approve ITPs, coordinate with consultants and authorities, mentor site inspectors, and support audits to uphold stringent quality standards across the Dubai portfolio.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• 12+ years QA/QC experience in UAE contracting.
• 3–4 years in a senior QA/QC role on landscape and swimming pools.
• Strong knowledge of UAE MEP codes, testing and commissioning.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement QA/QC procedures, ITPs, and checklists for MEP works including pool filtration and circulation systems, pumps, electrical works, and irrigation systems.
• Inspect and verify installation of MEP equipment and systems against approved shop drawings, specifications, and manufacturer guidelines.
• Witness testing and commissioning activities for pool mechanical systems, electrical installations, and irrigation networks, ensuring compliance with project standards.
• Review MEP material and equipment submittals in coordination with the Material Engineer and design team.
• Coordinate with consultants and authorities for inspection, testing, and approval of MEP systems prior to handover.
• Conduct internal audits of MEP quality processes and support client/consultant audits as required.
• Guide and supervise site-based MEP QA/QC inspectors to maintain consistent quality standards across the project.

Role Overview:

Requirements:

• Minimum 12 years of QA/QC experience, with at least 3-4 years in a senior role, within UAE-based contracting firms.
• Proven, hands-on QA/QC experience specifically on landscape and swimming pool execution projects in the UAE, particularly pool mechanical/filtration systems and irrigation.
• Strong knowledge of MEP installation standards, testing and commissioning procedures, and relevant UAE codes.
