Job summary

Gardinia Contracting, a Dubai-based construction powerhouse, seeks a QA/QC Engineer (MEP) to implement and monitor QA/QC processes for landscape and swimming pool projects. You will ensure compliance with project drawings, UAE codes and standards, and ISO 9001 requirements.

The role requires 5-8 years of QA/QC experience in MEP works within the UAE, with strong knowledge of pool systems, irrigation, and electrical works.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's/Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (MEP).
• 5-8 years of QA/QC experience in MEP works.
• Experience in landscape and swimming pool projects in the UAE.
• Strong knowledge of pool mechanical systems, irrigation, and electrical works.
• Familiarity with UAE regulatory requirements (DM, DEWA, Trakhees) and ITP/NCR practices.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 QA/QC standards and documentation practices.

Responsibilities

• Review and implement QA/QC procedures, ITPs, and method statements for MEP landscape and pool works.
• Conduct inspections at various MEP installation stages (irrigation, pool plant rooms, pumps, filtration, piping, electrical works).
• Ensure compliance with drawings, specifications and design intent for landscape and pool MEP works.
• Raise, track and close out NCRs related to MEP works.
• Coordinate with site engineers, subcontractors and consultants to resolve quality issues.
• Witness testing activities including hydrostatic/pressure tests and water circulation tests.
• Ensure MEP materials/equipment meet submittals and specs.
• Maintain and update inspection records and QA/QC documentation.
• Coordinate with third-party inspection agencies for inspections/approvals.
• Participate in internal and external quality audits.
• Ensure compliance with DM/DEWA/Trakhees and other UAE regulations.
• Prepare daily/weekly QA/QC reports and IR logs.
• Support snagging/de-snagging and handover documentation.
• Adhere to approved QA/QC plans, ISO 9001 standards and project quality manuals.

As a QA/QC Engineer, you will be responsible for implementing and monitoring quality assurance and quality control processes for Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing works on landscape and swimming pool construction projects, ensuring compliance with project specifications, approved drawings, and applicable UAE codes and standards.

Responsibilities:

• Review and implement project-specific QA/QC procedures, ITPs (Inspection & Test Plans), and method statements for MEP works related to landscape and swimming pool projects
• Conduct inspections at various stages of MEP installation, including irrigation systems, pool plant rooms, pumps, filtration systems, piping networks, and electrical works (first fix, second fix, testing & commissioning)
• Ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and design intent for landscape and pool MEP works
• Raise, track, and close out NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports) related to MEP works
• Coordinate with site engineers, subcontractors, and consultants to resolve quality-related issues
• Witness and verify testing activities including hydrostatic/pressure testing of pool plumbing, pool water circulation testing, insulation resistance testing, megger testing, and irrigation system testing
• Ensure MEP materials and equipment (pumps, filters, chlorination/dosing systems, cabling, fittings) comply with approved submittals and project specifications
• Maintain and update inspection records, checklists, and quality documentation (redlines, as-built tracking)
• Coordinate with third-party inspection agencies and consultants for inspections and approvals
• Participate in internal and external quality audits
• Ensure compliance with Dubai Municipality (DM), DEWA, Trakhees, and other relevant UAE regulatory requirements
• Prepare and submit daily/weekly QA/QC reports and inspection request (IR) logs
• Support snagging/de-snagging activities and final handover documentation
• Ensure adherence to approved QA/QC plans, ISO 9001 standards, and project quality manuals

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (MEP discipline)
• Minimum 5-8 years of relevant QA/QC experience in MEP works
• Proven experience in landscape and swimming pool construction projects within the UAE
• Strong knowledge of pool mechanical systems (pumps, filtration, chlorination/dosing, water circulation), irrigation systems, and associated electrical works
• Familiarity with UAE regulatory requirements (DM, DEWA, Trakhees) and ITP/NCR documentation practices
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 QA/QC standards and documentation practices
