Job summary

NSR Associates is seeking a Lead Senior Project Manager (SPM) with a minimum of 15 years post graduate experience to lead large complex hotel/high-rise construction projects in the UAE. The role requires fluent English, BSc in a related field and proven leadership of international main contractor teams.

Experience in the Middle East is preferred, with openness to candidates currently outside the region who wish to return.

Qualifications

• Fluent English language skills (written and spoken).
• Minimum 15 years post graduate experience.
• Significant construction experience as a Lead SPM on large complex hotel/high-rise projects.
• Experience in Middle East/UAE preferred but open to returning candidates.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance to site teams to deliver construction, logistics, enabling works, interior/finishing and MEP activities in line with contractual requirements.
• Interface with Client, Construction Supervisors, Controls and Commercial teams for timely reporting and decision-making.
• Develop and implement effective operations strategies, standards, policies, procedures and best practices.
• Coordinate with Engineering to support constructability and value engineering on design solutions.
• Review site and subcontractor performance and take corrective actions to drive improvements.

Duties

Provide support and guidance to the site teams to facilitate delivery of overall construction, logistics, enabling works, through to interior/finishing and MEP activities to contractual technical, budget, schedule and quality requirements.

Interface with the Client, Construction Supervisors and the Controls and Commercial Teams to ensure consistent reporting of a level that allows timely decisions to be made.

Ensure the availability and implementation of an effective operations strategy, standards, policies, procedures and best practices.

Interface with the Engineering Team to ensure the appropriate level of support is provided to the site teams to facilitate resolution of design solutions that promote constructability and value engineering.

Review the performance of the site teams and the sub contractors and take appropriate action where improvements are required.

Requirements

Min 15 years post graduate experience.

BSc in related subject.

Significant construction experience in a Lead SPM role during the set up and execution of Large Complex Building projects working for International Main Contractors.

Previous Middle East/UAE experience preferred however open to individuals currently not based in the Region but genuinely interested to return.

Experience of leading projects in excess of circa 800 Million aed within the Hotel/High Rise sector.

Fluency in English language both written and spoken.
