Overview

Senior Process Engineer hiring opportunity in Dubai, UAE within the Oil and Energy industry for experienced professionals specializing in FEED, detailed engineering, and process design across major EPC projects. This role supports process engineering excellence by delivering technical analysis, system optimization, and safe design solutions for complex offshore and onshore energy facilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform conceptual, FEED, studies, and detailed process engineering analyses according to project specifications, standards, and design basis
• Prepare and review process simulations, heat and material balances, PFDs, and P and IDs
• Develop process safeguarding diagrams, equipment and instrument process datasheets, and technical specifications
• Prepare operating philosophy documents, startup manuals, and operating procedures
• Review equipment lists, line lists, sizing calculations, flare studies, and depressurization analysis
• Support process studies, safety reviews, and HAZOP action item close‑out activities
• Provide process inputs to other disciplines for layout reviews, area classification, electrical load lists, and control narratives
• Coordinate closely with engineering disciplines, planning teams, and project management for clash‑free designs
• Review vendor and subcontractor submissions and ensure compliance with project specifications
• Support technical bid evaluations, design reviews, audits, and engineering documentation checks
• Guide junior engineers and act as a technical resource for less experienced team members
• Identify scope changes, raise technical queries, and support variation order management
• Lead small engineering teams on selected projects when assigned as Lead Engineer

Ideal Profile

• Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Engineering
• 8 to 15 years of experience in oil and gas projects with major contractors or consultants
• Strong expertise in detailed process design, FEED, and EPC project execution
• Deep understanding of process engineering standards, codes, and design methodologies
• Experience in process simulations, safety studies, and plant optimization projects
• Preferably Registered Professional Engineer or member of a recognized engineering society
• Strong communication and coordination skills across multidisciplinary teams
• Ability to mentor engineers and manage technical deliverables within project deadlines
