Job summary

Discovered MENA is seeking a payments product leader who will own the end-to-end payments backlog across cards, wallets, BNPL, COD and local methods in the GCC. This role offers real ownership, scale and impact, not just writing specs.

You will partner with PSPs, acquirers and gateways, drive GCC expansion and handle multiple currencies. Use SQL and dashboards to back decisions, and ensure delivery from requirements through release with rigorous release readiness.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in product management or product ownership, with 2+ years hands-on in payments, fintech or e-commerce checkout.
• Real experience with payment gateways, PSPs, acquirers or BNPL providers.
• Strong grasp of GCC payments: cards, 3DS2, Mada, wallets and BNPL across multiple markets and currencies.
• Fluency in payment metrics such as PSR, authorisation rates, declines and retries, with ability to pull data in SQL.
• Solid fundamentals in card flows, authentication, settlement and PCI-DSS.
• Bias for action: break down messy problems, cut dependencies and keep things moving.

Responsibilities

• Fix checkout issues by digging into the funnel with engineering and partners.
• Collaborate with PSPs, acquirers, gateways and BNPL providers on integrations and performance.
• Launch and optimize payment methods across GCC markets, handling local currencies, authentication and regulation.
• Use data, dashboards and partner reporting to identify root causes and back decisions with evidence.
• Ensure delivery with clear requirements, UAT and release readiness.

We have partnered a platform that serves millions of customers across the GCC and is expanding into new markets. They're looking for a payments product leader who wants real ownership, real scale and real impact.

This isn't a role where you write specs and wait.

You’ll own the payments backlog end to end: cards, wallets, BNPL, COD, local payment methods, gateways and partners. Every improvement you ship shows up straight away in conversion, revenue and customer experience. Move Payment Success Rate by a fraction of a percent and you've changed the numbers across the business.

What you'll own

• The payments roadmap. Decide what gets built across payment methods, gateways and BNPL, and drive it from problem definition through to release.
• Conversion at checkout. Dig into the funnel, find where payments fail or customers drop off, and fix it with engineering and partners.
• The partner ecosystem. Work directly with PSPs, acquirers, gateways and BNPL providers on integrations, incidents and performance.
• GCC expansion. Launch and optimise payment methods across markets, from Mada to wallets to BNPL, handling local currencies, authentication and regulation.
• Data-driven decisions. Use SQL, dashboards and partner reporting to find root causes and back your calls with evidence.
• Delivery that lands. Own requirements, UAT and release readiness so changes go live reliably and deliver results.
