Job summary

talabat is hiring a Product Manager – Payments Platform in Dubai, UAE to lead payment infrastructure, checkout experiences, fraud controls, and regulatory compliance. You will shape scalable payment capabilities across talabat's consumer ecosystem, improving transaction success, user trust, and operational resilience.

You will collaborate with Engineering, Data Science, Legal, Risk, and Commercial teams to define roadmaps, manage integrations with gateways and banks, and deliver go-to-market

Qualifications

  • Proven product management experience in payments, fintech, e-commerce, marketplaces, or large-scale digital platforms.
  • Strong understanding of payment processing, gateways, transaction routing, card networks, and alternative payment methods.
  • Familiarity with fraud prevention, KYC, KYB, AML, and payment compliance requirements.
  • Knowledge of PCI‑DSS and secure checkout design.
  • Experience managing customer-facing payment products at scale.

Responsibilities

  • Define and communicate the product vision for payment infrastructure and customer payment experiences.
  • Develop and maintain a roadmap covering payment processing, transaction routing, gateway integrations, payment networks, and alternative payment methods.
  • Understand the needs of customers, vendors, internal teams, and local markets across the region.
  • Analyse business value, customer pain points, technical constraints, operational risks, and market opportunities.
  • Work closely with Engineering, Data Science, Product Analytics, Design, and Research throughout product discovery and delivery.
  • Conduct customer development and use behavioural data to uncover unmet needs and reduce product risk.
  • Rapidly ideate, prototype, test, and refine product solutions with the cross-functional team.
  • Lead the development and rollout of new payment capabilities to customers.
  • Prioritise opportunities and solutions according to company KPIs, customer impact, revenue potential, and technical feasibility.
  • Improve checkout conversion, transaction approval rates, payment reliability, and customer confidence.
  • Optimise payment flows while maintaining PCI‑DSS compliance and strong security controls.
  • Collaborate with Legal, Risk, and Compliance teams on KYC, KYB, AML, fraud prevention, and regulatory requirements.
  • Balance authorisation performance with fraud risk, compliance obligations, and operational resilience.
  • Manage integrations with payment gateways, card networks, banks, wallets, and alternative payment providers.
  • Develop scalable collection strategies that support multiple product lines and customer journeys.
  • Define clear product requirements, acceptance criteria, performance indicators, and launch plans.
  • Use experimentation to validate assumptions and measure the performance of launched products.
  • Analyse experiment results and invest in continuous improvement based on evidence.
  • Monitor transaction success, payment failures, conversion rates, fraud indicators, and customer support signals.
  • Work with internal commercial and strategy teams to design go‑to‑market plans.
  • Coordinate product dependencies with other consumer teams to maintain an aligned end‑to‑end experience.
  • Own stakeholder communication across local, regional, and global teams.
  • Present product decisions, trade‑offs, progress, and risks clearly to senior leaders.
  • Remove blockers and support the team in delivering quality solutions quickly.
  • Prioritise the highest‑impact work and manage team capacity effectively.
  • Build strong relationships across functions to accelerate decisions and product outcomes.
