Waagner Biro Bridge Services, a leading UAE engineering and construction firm, seeks a Procurement Engineer in Abu Dhabi to manage end-to-end procurement. You will identify suppliers, evaluate proposals, and negotiate contracts while ensuring compliance with UAE regulations.

You will develop vendor relationships, manage purchase orders, and track order status within ERP systems. Strong analytical and English communication skills are essential for cost optimization and project support.

Formación

• 8–10 years of professional experience in procurement engineering, supply chain management or related field.
• Proven experience in vendor evaluation, supplier management, and contract negotiation.
• Strong proficiency with procurement software and ERP systems (such as SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms).
• Advanced analytical and data analysis skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple procurement projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
• Knowledge of procurement best practices and supply chain optimization techniques.
• Experience in manufacturing, engineering, or industrial environments.
• Familiarity with UAE and Middle East procurement regulations and compliance requirements.

Responsabilidades

• Analyze and evaluate supplier proposals, technical specifications, and pricing to align with requirements and budget constraints.
• Develop and maintain vendor relationships with regular performance reviews and negotiations.
• Prepare procurement documentation: purchase orders, contracts, specs, ensuring accuracy and UAE compliance.
• Utilize procurement software and ERP to manage requisitions and track orders.
• Conduct cost-benefit analyses and implement strategies to reduce procurement costs.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, and finance to understand material needs and timelines.
• Monitor supplier performance metrics and take corrective actions as needed.
• Prepare reports on procurement activities and cost savings for management.
• Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and UAE regulations.
