Waagner Biro Bridge Services, a leading UAE engineering and construction firm, seeks a Procurement Engineer in Abu Dhabi to manage end-to-end procurement. You will identify suppliers, evaluate proposals, and negotiate contracts while ensuring compliance with UAE regulations.

You will develop vendor relationships, manage purchase orders, and track order status within ERP systems. Strong analytical and English communication skills are essential for cost optimization and project support.

Competenze

• 8–10 years of professional experience in procurement engineering, supply chain management or related field.
• Proven experience in vendor evaluation, supplier management, and contract negotiation.
• Strong proficiency with procurement software and ERP systems (such as SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms).
• Advanced analytical and data analysis skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

We're looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Procurement Engineer to join our organization in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end procurement process, from supplier identification and evaluation to contract negotiation and vendor management. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise with strong organizational skills to optimize our procurement operations and ensure cost-effective sourcing of materials and services while maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance.

• Analyze and evaluate supplier proposals, technical specifications, and pricing to ensure alignment with organizational requirements and budget constraints
• Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers, conducting regular performance reviews and negotiations to achieve favorable terms and conditions
• Prepare detailed procurement documentation, including purchase orders, contracts, and specifications, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and UAE regulations
• Utilize procurement software and ERP systems to manage purchase requisitions, track orders, and maintain comprehensive procurement records
• Conduct cost-benefit analyses and implement strategies to optimize procurement processes and reduce overall procurement expenses
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, and finance teams to understand material requirements and project timelines
• Monitor supplier performance metrics and implement corrective actions when necessary to maintain service level agreements
• Prepare reports and presentations on procurement activities, supplier performance, and cost savings initiatives for management review
• Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, industry standards, and applicable UAE procurement regulations
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement efficient procurement methodologies
