Job summary

Salesforce, Inc. is seeking a seasoned Solution Engineer to serve as the trusted technical advisor across the full lifecycle, from presales to post-sales delivery.

You will shape solutions, deliver demos, and lead technical workshops that tie architecture and data concepts to tangible business outcomes. The role requires strong cloud, API, and data architecture knowledge, plus experience presenting to executives and collaborating with sales, delivery, and customer success teams.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in solution engineering or related roles with customer-facing experience.
• Strong grasp of cloud platforms, APIs, microservices, and data architecture.
• Hands-on in at least one language (Java, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript) and with CI/CD concepts.
• Proven ability to run demos and POCs and to explain complex technology simply.
• Experience engaging senior stakeholders and influencing without authority.
• Strong collaboration across sales, delivery, and customer success.
• Preferred: experience with enterprise platforms (Salesforce, MuleSoft, Data Cloud) and AI/LLM familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Account Executives to qualify opportunities, uncover business and technical requirements, and build winning strategies.
• Deliver tailored demos, proofs of concept, and technical workshops that tie platform capabilities to business outcomes.
• Present to technical and C-level audiences, including architecture and security reviews.
• Respond to RFPs/RFIs and build solution designs, business cases, and ROI narratives.
• Collaborate with product, specialist, and partner teams to scope and position the right solution.
• Hand over solution designs and context to delivery, Professional Services, and Customer Success teams to ensure continuity.
• Act as a technical escalation point and advisor during implementation, validating architecture and best practices.
• Support adoption, health checks, and value realization workshops with customers.
• Identify expansion and renewal opportunities and partner with account teams to pursue them.
• Capture customer feedback and feed it to product and engineering.
• Mentor SEs and share reusable assets: demos, reference architectures, and playbooks.
